Bulgaria Branch at the PIT Tourism Business Forum

From 14 to 18 September 2026, the Tourism Business Forum of the Polish Chamber of Tourism (Polska Izba Turystyki) took place in Sunny Beach in the Burgas region. Our Bulgarian branch was represented by its head, Magdalena Tekla.

The forum was a time for discussions and an exchange of experience between the Polish and Bulgarian tourism industries. The meetings were hosted by the Meliá Sunny Beach hotel.

Bulgaria wants to show more than the beach

As the head of our branch reported, the Bulgarian side was keen to present other aspects of the country to Polish tourists as well, namely cultural tourism and SPA and wellness offerings. These are destinations that make it possible to extend the season beyond the summer holiday months, which is exactly what our representative office on the coast is working towards.

Magdalena Tekla's participation in the forum was also covered by the Bulgarian National Tourism Channel, which presented her as a representative of the largest Polish tourism organisation operating in Bulgaria.
